Greywick Item Sets
Every class has its own tier-sets — a
themed weapon, armour, cloak, and boots, bound to that class alone. Wear more of a set for escalating
set bonuses to the class's key ability. Sets come in four tiers of steadily rising
flat power, spanning Common up to
Rare — reliable, class-bound progression gear that drops
from the bosses of each region (see the how-to-play guide). The
Epic and Legendary
rarities are held back for the hand-authored relics — one-of-a-kind gear with real mechanical
identity (on-hit brands, imbued spells, a marked quarry, a guardian's wall), so a Legendary find is a
genuine event and not another flat set piece.
How set bonuses work
- Class-bound — only the matching class can equip a set piece.
- 2 pieces — grants the set's smaller bonus to its key ability.
- 4 pieces (the full set) — adds a further bonus on top. Because it lifts an ability
score, it raises attack, saves, AC, and (for casters) spell save DC together.
- Four rising tiers — each tier is a real step up (more attack and damage, thicker
armour, a bigger set bonus), not a rename. Lower tiers drop from a region's lesser bosses, the top
tiers from its greatest — and in a party, dropped pieces are rolled for Need/Greed.
Beyond the class sets, the great final boss of each region also guards a single
Mythic relic — the peerless top of the ladder, one to a
boss, carried by no class-bind so any hero can wield it. These are never sold at any stall; a merchant
deals up to Epic and no higher. The Mythic relics of the
deep are won, or they are not had at all.
